Penneys Holiday Essentials

So I recently went away for a long weekend in the sun🌞 to Marbella with my two bridesmaids. We went for 4 nights (Friday until Tuesday) morning over the Easter holidays. It was basically a miniature Hens/Bachelorette break. I didn’t want to go to O.T.T on the shopping and packing as I had planned on bringing a carry on case. So upon a little visit to my local Penneys I picked up some pieces.

Light Luggage

I picked up a light ItLuggage suitcase in Penneys of course I opted for the deep pink one.

This suitcase is perfect for carrying on because there is no boning in the
case, you can squeeze more in but I would advise only using it for light travel. It has a wide handle and is easy to wheel. What’s great about this suitcase is it comes with a 10 year warranty.

I  decided to pick up a few versatile pieces that I could add to my wardrobe and the best way to pack is light.

Fancy Flats

These coral sandals are great for during the day with your beach dress or maxi dress. They can be a nice touch to a dressy pair of white jeans/top for the evening plus your feet will thank you for it. They also come in cream but I really love coral. And I also pack a good pair of flip flops I normally but the Superdry range.

Bright bikinis

These three were my favourites of the bikini section. I love colourful swimwear what I love about these styles is you can choose to have them strapless and keeps tan lines to a minimum. I don’t like padded bikinis as in the heat I find them too warm and as I am quite busty so I prefer a good under wired bikini for support to a padded one. I usually opt to wear the underwire if I know I’ll be walking about. And keep the non underwired ones for sunbathing only.

Cover ups

These cover ups are great to have with you the coral is a v shaped dress with draw strings on the waist, it is a light soft cotton material and very comfortable. The Aztec print is  a strapless short version jumpsuit in a satin like material the only annoying thing is the elastic at the top can either roll down or cut into you but it’s better for being by the pool as it’s easy to remove and get dressed into.

Beach bagsimage
These bikini bags are great,They big enough to fit your bikini, glasses, sunscreen and lip balm. They can double us as a mini purse, a makeup bag and also be used for your wet bikinis to stop them ruining your bag. also great for separating your laundry from your clothes.

I packed 3 day dresses, 3 evening dresses, dressy blazer& cardigan with one pair of dressy gold wedges. And one outfit for flying over & back in with my converse. Always remember trick to packing light is to only to pack what you know you will wear and bring pieces you can mix up with the rest of your wardrobe.
