Crazy About Dollar Craze Heels – by Clarks 💛

I find it so hard to find shoes in my size let alone a wide fit, which is every tall girl’s nightmare. I used to take a size 8 now I am a 9.  So I had to recycle my shoe wardrobe which killed me as I loved my  shoe collection but I made sure they all went to worthy home. I would reccomend that you get your feet measured regularly as your feet can grow even as a adult. Upon a recent visit to Kildare Village Outlets I came across these Clarks beautys .

They have featured across many fashion outlets and sites since they released. They have even gotten great reviews not only for their comfort but for their style. Mary Jane’s never go out of fashion and they are just adorable with a summer dress!

I loved them that much I bought them in 3 colours :

& Yellow

I managed to get the 3 pairs for €52 & they would of retailed at €75 a pair so I saved myself a fortune too. Black & Nude will go with anything and I bought the yellow to go with those colourful summer dresses 💛

Now all I need is a event to show them off at 😉

My 3 Mammy Autumn/Winter inspired outfits 🍃☔

So while catching up with a friend of mine the weekend  who is a mother of 3 and currently  breastfeeding  her toddler, proclaimed she doesn’t get time nor has energy to shop and usually opts for clothes that are more practical for nursing. She said she would love if someone could do it for her so putting the fashionista in me to use, I quizzed her on what she needs from her clothes and her wants as a busy Mam. Being a mother is hard work and I understand that  most of the time the kids come first.

So with this in mind I decided to pick her out some on trend outfits for Autumn winter that were

1. Affordable 2. Practical 3. Versatile 4. Durable

I did a bit of research and from my experience I felt the quality in H & M clothing is great. I picked her out 3 outfits keeping in mind that she could use any of the items and mix them up herself or add other pieces in her wardrobe to these looks.
                                         Casual Day time Outfit

                                         Basic Nursing Vest tops
So a breastfeeding mother needs to be able to feed her baby at all times some outfits don’t allow this but H&M have these great nursing tops which basically come in a pack of two are great as the have a clip down at the front too and can be themed with anything.
                                          Over sized Check shirt
Flannel is making a big comeback for this Autumn Winter I picked this colour because I think it’s very versatile and Green is a big colour this season. Also it can be worn open or buttoned down.
                                              Tube Scarf
With the evenings getting chillier these tube scarfs are handy as you can thrown  them over your head and remove them easily.I picked a charcoal grey as to add some colour other than black to the outfit.
                                            Skinny Jeans
Indigo blue is always a nice classic choice plus it can be mixed with so much in your wardrobe.I opted for high Waisted jeans as they re more flattering and especially for nursing  Mammys wanting to hide their tums (this was a must request with my friend) I think she’s mad but as I want her looking and feeling amazing this is what I took on board. They are only €9.99 so they are not breaking the bank.

                               Leather Look High top Trainers
The elasticated ankle is great because no laces to tie and they can slip on & off I choose black because they are more dressy and can be mixed with leggings or all black when your having one of those wardrobe malfunction days. The faux leather look is cool. Also for a Mother on the go comfort is a must especially  while running around  after a toddler.

Lunching it with the girls 💋

                                      Satin Shirt Dress
Army Green is huge this season so I opted for a soft satin shirt dress this is loose fitting and a deep v which can be unbuttoned when needed. It also has a wide back with a box pleat so doesn’t feel restricted.

Mom Jeans
These jeans are washed worn look with a high waist and gentle tapered legs. They can be themed with a basic top or blouse and heels if you want to dress them up. Or a pair of converse for comfort.

Jacquard weave-scarf
The cream scarf has a mix of pink orange and green which adds some colour to the outfit and can also be great with dressing up darker coloured outfits.

Date night outfit with the hubby

Draped top
In a burgundy red it’s a soft jersey style top which is loose and can be stretched easily . The gold straps add a bit of femininity to it and dress it up a little . Possibly a Christmas night out outfit too.

Mom Jeans
Black classic jeans with high Waist and gently  tapered legs themed with black heels to dress  up or boots or sandals. This are great for the days  you want to wear all black and still feel  good.

Jacquard Knit Poncho
This is great for throwing over any outfit dress top or casually it’s warm too and will
be great for winter wardrobe. It also can be stretched  to your summer wardrobe too for the bbq evenings ☺

So there you have it girls 3 outfits style by me using H&Ms Autumn Winter 2015 collection .

Hope you enjoyed the post

My Bachelorette Party Shopping Haul 💏 💍 🍸

So it’s officially 9 days until my Bridal Party💍Yay! or as we call it in Ireland “Hen’s Party” and for the guys “Stags”.I honestly do not know how us lady’s got stuck with “Hens” as a nickname for it I’ll never know 😂I think Bachelorette is better. My bridesmaid and I took a trip to Dundrum shopping Centre this eve.

The Theme
My theme is “Old Hollywood/Great Gatsby” for my party basically anything with lace, sequins,or feathers. Obviously being the Bride I will wear white.

The Outfit
Our first stop was House Of Fraser we literally took 10 minutes and cherry picked any dresses we could find in white from nearly every concession. We took every style, shape and material into consideration. Tried on them all and because I am tall I wanted a dress better suited to my body shape & height.

I ended up going for a Grecian style dress from Miss Selfridges the pictures do it no justice as it is fabalous in real life. It’s flattering on the bust especially if you have a bust. In nips in on the waist and then falls it a flattering cut to the knees. The material is soft but thick so it’s not very skimpy and it has thin straps and a gold detail on the straps and matching gold belt. (Which I will remove and put a more embellished sash on the waist.

I also fell in love with this embellished Bolero and couldn’t leave it behind what I adore about this is it’s a piece that will forever be in your wardrobe it’s well made and literally will dress up any outfit in a instant and after all Gatsby era was all  about  embellishment.

I also picked up a pair of small block heeled shoes in Penneys these are super comfortable, and versatile as I am sure I’ll be dancing all night. Im opting for comfort over fashion on this one.Plus they were only €15 so you can’t go wrong.

I plan on themeing it with a feather boa, satin gloves and a Gatsby art decoration head piece 💎

Will post pictures after my party 💏

Penneys Holiday Essentials

So I recently went away for a long weekend in the sun🌞 to Marbella with my two bridesmaids. We went for 4 nights (Friday until Tuesday) morning over the Easter holidays. It was basically a miniature Hens/Bachelorette break. I didn’t want to go to O.T.T on the shopping and packing as I had planned on bringing a carry on case. So upon a little visit to my local Penneys I picked up some pieces.

Light Luggage

I picked up a light ItLuggage suitcase in Penneys of course I opted for the deep pink one.

This suitcase is perfect for carrying on because there is no boning in the
case, you can squeeze more in but I would advise only using it for light travel. It has a wide handle and is easy to wheel. What’s great about this suitcase is it comes with a 10 year warranty.

I  decided to pick up a few versatile pieces that I could add to my wardrobe and the best way to pack is light.

Fancy Flats

These coral sandals are great for during the day with your beach dress or maxi dress. They can be a nice touch to a dressy pair of white jeans/top for the evening plus your feet will thank you for it. They also come in cream but I really love coral. And I also pack a good pair of flip flops I normally but the Superdry range.

Bright bikinis

These three were my favourites of the bikini section. I love colourful swimwear what I love about these styles is you can choose to have them strapless and keeps tan lines to a minimum. I don’t like padded bikinis as in the heat I find them too warm and as I am quite busty so I prefer a good under wired bikini for support to a padded one. I usually opt to wear the underwire if I know I’ll be walking about. And keep the non underwired ones for sunbathing only.

Cover ups

These cover ups are great to have with you the coral is a v shaped dress with draw strings on the waist, it is a light soft cotton material and very comfortable. The Aztec print is  a strapless short version jumpsuit in a satin like material the only annoying thing is the elastic at the top can either roll down or cut into you but it’s better for being by the pool as it’s easy to remove and get dressed into.

Beach bagsimage
These bikini bags are great,They big enough to fit your bikini, glasses, sunscreen and lip balm. They can double us as a mini purse, a makeup bag and also be used for your wet bikinis to stop them ruining your bag. also great for separating your laundry from your clothes.

I packed 3 day dresses, 3 evening dresses, dressy blazer& cardigan with one pair of dressy gold wedges. And one outfit for flying over & back in with my converse. Always remember trick to packing light is to only to pack what you know you will wear and bring pieces you can mix up with the rest of your wardrobe.

What I Wore to..My Engagement Party

So when you are recently engaged you want every excuse to wear a white dress.. I was super excited to have a engagement party. So of course I wanted a dress I would cherish forever and I decided on a fab white Crystal encrusted Rachel Gilbert . I was so excited when it arrived and was worth every penny. image  It was a strapless dress but I felt it needed straps as I felt I would be pulling it up all night as the crystals are quiet heavy and I am quite busty. I visited a family friend who is a seamstress and got her to add straps to the dress. image My theme was Old Hollywood so I wanted a lot of glamour I picked a pair of diamond stilettos up in a shoe shop in the Liberty’s in Dublin City they were worth a small fortune but looked amazing on. image image Earrings were Crystal Pavè bezel drops by Jon Richard and the hair clips were by Vincenza for Debenhams I loved the vintage plating on these as it really added character to them. image I booked into Citywest Hotel Angel Hairdressing for my hair to be done. Stylist washed, dried and ran the wand through it to get the relaxed Hollywood curls I asked for then myself and my lovely friend Serena had lunch in the hotel with our fresh makeup free faces before we set off to get our makeup done. image Tada the final look that Debroah from Closer2Fabulous created having worked with Debroah as a model. I cannot praise her work enough whether it’s under pressure or in a relaxed environment she always manages to make you feel like you are far away from the stresses of the outside world. She also takes her time to make sure you are 100% Fabulous and I opted for dewy Hollywood carpet fit makeup! L❤VE It !! image Some photo’s my man took before we left our room for our party. The bracelets I am wearing are Pearl charm by Thomas Sambo and the Crystal bracelet in the middle is from Forever21 image Myself & My handsome Hubbie to be at our party 💏 (Note the sky scraper Crystal stilettos I earlier wore had to be changed for a comfort /lower heel) 😂 image Have you a engagement party to plan.. if so what are you planning on wearing ? 💏

All Blush Everything 🌸

Nothing I ❤ more than finding statement pieces for your wardrobe on sale. I happened to pop into H&M today to have a look and picked up these two fab pieces on sale for €24.98.

1. Blazer was reduced from €29.99 to €14.99   I got this in a size 12 I’m usually a 10 in a jacket but I’m busty & broad so I always try them to fit my chest and shoulders and the 12 was roomy enough.

2.And oversized jumper was €19.99          to €9.98 this was a size S but I reckon it was one size fits all because was very loose and baggy but fab on.

Blush is my favourite colour as its so versatile you can wear it with white for summer or black for winter.
I always try only buy items I will use with the rest of my wardrobe, that are versatile and that I get my money’s worth. With wedding/house saving I’ve learnt from years of buying expensive dresses and outfits just because I could and its such a waste as you only wear some of them once. So be wise your Dr cluttered wardrobe will thank you for it later and also your bank account 👏
What’s your fave bargains in the sales ?

Fabulous dresses

So with wedding season upon us I’ve been searching for dresses suitable for attending weddings or for the bride the day after her big day. I’ve fallen in love with these fabalous dresses from Cari’s Closet in Malahide.
The dresses are available to buy ..

First up is this fab pink glittery dress. I love the sweetheart cut on it and pink is my favourite colour you don’t need much accessories with this dress as the dress itself does the talking..

If you were to add accessories I would go for a dainty gold chain maybe even with a little diamond suttle hints are fine as there’s enough going on in the dress to not add to much

Makeup and hair wise I would opt for classy Hollywood so loose curls flawless skin and bronzed eye & cheeks, if you wanted to add that little bit extra a fab bright lip colour.

This dress would be fab if you were attending a wedding or maybe even as a bridesmaid dress. The style is classy and it’s a great length. I particularly love this colour coral is amazing and so different plus I love the embelleshment on the shoulders. Also the ruching on the dress means it’s very flattering on all shapes and sizes. Hair wise a nice curly blow dry to the side showing the shoulder of the dress off would be suited.

This dress would be fab on ladies in 30+ range or if you have a fab mother-in-law, like I do who looks amazing in anything. This would be great for a Mother of the bride or groom you could remove the glittery sash and add a. more sophisticated sash or maybe a statement necklace.

I also love this style. I like mixing it up with colours and bronze is a nice for the woman who doesn’t like too much colour especially if black is her favourite colour. This is a nice alternative. The black in the stomach area is very slimming and the drapping on the bust is very elegant.

I think this dress would be fab on the bride for either her Engagement party, rehearsal dinner or the day after the wedding you only get to wear a white dress once so why not get the most out of it 😉

This particular dress is more suited to tall girls and if your quite busty like myself, the one shoulder is very flattering as it draws the eye away from the bust area and flatters the shoulders. Plus its also not too revealing. Out of all the dresses I ❤ this one for the bride-to-be it could be used as a coctail dress to change into on your big day for the evening reception or for the following days festivities either way you won’t be short of turning heads in this little number..

Malahide is a gorgeous little village by the sea and so worth the trip. Perfect girls day out !!
Happy Dress Shopping
