It’s wedding season and there is nothing I love more than personalised wedding items. Especially ones that don’t break the bank. I picked up these travel tags for myself and the hubbie for our suitcases for our next adventure 🌍 what I love about it is the Mr ones aren’t too girly like most wedding accessories do be.
So what do you get the man who has everything this Christmas ? It gets harder the longer you are together and you run out of ideas fast. I love being creative and I also love giving lots of different presents instead of just one big gift with that in mind I took into consideration a few main things.
Us women like to be pampered so what not pamper them, we want thoughtful, practical and funny gifts so return the favour. We also have hobbies as do they so Always give what you’d expect and it doesn’t need to break the bank figure out a budget between you and work from there.
Funny stocking Fillers
He loves Nando’s & of course beer so these two are practical yet funny and also appreciating his manly things he likes to do as every Man loves two things Food & Beer.
Nowadays men do know what moisturiser is and are more cautious of their skin. I personally love this brand and my Husband said he noticed a big difference using this brand than a shop bought moisturiser so I got him the whole package this is great as you get extras too.
He hates Pj’s but Loves a comfortable pair of jog pants and a tee so these are perfect not the whole pj look either.
For the Feet!
Being a soldier he is always on his feet and it’s something men tend to neglect I could never find fluffy socks for men until recently so I think some woman decided that they needed this as much as we do. Dead Sea Creams are great too as they tend to be made for seaweed and this one is great for your man’s man as it does not smell girly at all!
His favourite Hobbies
I picked his 4 Favourite’s . Music, Gym, Health & Looking Good 🙂
He loves Macklemore so of course when I heard he was playing Dublin I had to get tickets to his show.
He loves Under Armour so I decided to get him two training tops to add to his growing collection.
He looks after himself by fueling with healthy foods and this works wonders his last blender has seen better days about 6 years old to be precise, so I decided to pick him up this Nutribullet Pro which has a lot more added to it. it might seem dear but I believe in investing in the quality in products especially the important ones.
Last but not least he likes …
Looking Good 😉
Being a army man he likes to always dress well and smart when he is not in gym mode. A nice smart Jumper is a great gift to add to his wardrobe. and I thought this Coffee mug and coffee was also a added bonus as he won’t start any day without it !
So there you have it you want your man to feel loved appreciated to look and feel good and overall buy him gifts he would like. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box trust me men are happier with less than you’d think. Don’t over think it 🙂
So getting married is one of those life changing experiences and the girls you choose to by your side are just as important, with that in mind you want to include your nearest and dearest. We put a lot of thought into who we would choose for our bridal party so we obviously chose both our little sisters,as we both only have one sister each. My little sister Rosie is 16 and his little sister Emily who is 13 as they were a lot younger I got them more age orientated gifts. I also chose my best friend from College Sinead & My Childhood best friend Jenny. So when I went to visit them and ask them to be my bridesmaids I wanted it to be unique and to present them with a little gift. I made these as a nice thoughtful way to ask them to be my bridesmaids …
So as blush pink was my colour theme for the wedding I wanted to make them pamper baskets so I sourced the following items with this in mind:
Pink Baskets filled with a bottle of Rose Wine & Radox Bath Smoothie & Body Butter &Pink Nail Polish.
Pink Glitter nail file & Pink Illuminating bronzing powder & CocoBrown Tan.
Pink Tan glove & Pink Vaseline.
All the items you would love for a pampering night with a Glass of wine in hand!
I also wanted them to have a sentimental gift so I bought these beautiful miniature pendants from Simply Silver by Jon Richard. They are sterling silver with Cz diamonds and something small that will have forever. As both girls are different personalities I choose two different styles.
As we love nothing more than having a glass of wine and a good girly chat I printed of my favourite pictures of us both and got them printed on to stickers with the following ”As I get ready for the day to become a bride, I would be honoured to have you sipping by my side..”
I really love thoughtful gifts, getting creative & adding sentimentality to your gifts the girls loved these and the ideas I had behind them, Its a great way to show your friends you are thankful for their friendship!
Hope you enjoyed this post let me know if you have done this yourself or plan on doing them for your bridesmaids ??

Getting married or decorating your home? Throwing a party or giving gifts.
Look no further than Home Focus at Hickeys.
Upon a recent trip to Hickeys I was delighted to see a great selection of decorative pieces which would suit a wedding, party, home or gifts.
I picked up these fab jars for €1.15 each. I ended up getting 12 of them as I thought they would be fab in the restrooms at our wedding reception.
I also picked up candles with a 5hr burn time which are hard to find. These came in at €3.50 a pack of 6 which was great plus the fact they are in jars stops spilling.
Definitely check out their range as they always have great offers on in stores. And the range is so versatile.
I love this gorgeous pillow my Fiancè got me as one of my Valentine’s gifts. I know it’s the summer but I love how it still reminds me of him. I told him not to waste his money on flowers and instead he picked me up a few beautiful sentimental pieces.. one of them was this fab LOVE cushion.
How retro is my card..? I’m a Mason Jars lover and love finding ways to incorporate Mason Jars into the home. So this was a cute touch as he knows what I like. Have you any gifts that are treasured in your household ?
So it’s officially 9 days until my Bridal Party💍Yay! or as we call it in Ireland “Hen’s Party” and for the guys “Stags”.I honestly do not know how us lady’s got stuck with “Hens” as a nickname for it I’ll never know 😂I think Bachelorette is better. My bridesmaid and I took a trip to Dundrum shopping Centre this eve.
My theme is “Old Hollywood/Great Gatsby” for my party basically anything with lace, sequins,or feathers. Obviously being the Bride I will wear white.
Our first stop was House Of Fraser we literally took 10 minutes and cherry picked any dresses we could find in white from nearly every concession. We took every style, shape and material into consideration. Tried on them all and because I am tall I wanted a dress better suited to my body shape & height.
I ended up going for a Grecian style dress from Miss Selfridges the pictures do it no justice as it is fabalous in real life. It’s flattering on the bust especially if you have a bust. In nips in on the waist and then falls it a flattering cut to the knees. The material is soft but thick so it’s not very skimpy and it has thin straps and a gold detail on the straps and matching gold belt. (Which I will remove and put a more embellished sash on the waist.
I also fell in love with this embellished Bolero and couldn’t leave it behind what I adore about this is it’s a piece that will forever be in your wardrobe it’s well made and literally will dress up any outfit in a instant and after all Gatsby era was all about embellishment.
I also picked up a pair of small block heeled shoes in Penneys these are super comfortable, and versatile as I am sure I’ll be dancing all night. Im opting for comfort over fashion on this one.Plus they were only €15 so you can’t go wrong.
I plan on themeing it with a feather boa, satin gloves and a Gatsby art decoration head piece 💎
Will post pictures after my party 💏
So myself and the hubbie to be decided to go to a wedding fair as it would be our last before our big day. The first fair I went to was without him so I thought it was only fair we made a day of it 🙂 We went to Wedding Journal Show Live! it took place in Citywest Hotel it was a nice summery day 🌞 too which added to the occasion.
One of my favourite stalls at the fair was by Harvey Norman I was shocked as being a D.I.Y store it blew me out of the water how amazing there stand was. It’s amazing what you can find in a D.I.Y store, they really stock some beautiful vintage wedding items. And are worth taking the trip to.
We sat down and watched the fashion show which was funny as the models have some great dance moves in their runway. Graham enjoyed the Grooms part as the male models really put a lot into their performance.
I really loved some pieces at the fair so I snapped some of my favourites especially these LOVE uplighters how amazing are they.
There was so many ideas to take on board from D.I.Y weddings, rented decor, vintage cars like below I love the 1920s & 1950s these cars are immaculate inside and out!
Cute Mr & Mrs champagne flutes great idea for a gift for the Bride & Groom or you can use them for your own wedding day!
I fell in love with the starlight white dancefloors they have multiple settings and honestly I love how they look they add a lot of glamour to the setting.
We even got asked for a photo by one of the photographers there which was lovely as it can go into our album of memories 💏
We had a great day at the show and took lots of ideas home I think Graham enjoyed getting in and out of cars and all the free food..Ha! even though we have our cake booked he couldn’t help himself when offered some 🍰
Are you getting married this year? Have you attended a wedding fair if so what did you like most?
